A continuation of my stars wars bounty hunter series. I ended up leaving Boba for last when I was working on these. Even though He's probably the most popular, on a whole, I never really found him all that interesting to look at. In the end though, I had a ton of fun working on him and think the lighting turned out the best overall on this portrait. More so than any of the others, I spent time researching the actual prop of the helmet and the costume, and ended up learning a ton about fabrication back in the 80s and the fan community that got built around the character that's still crazy active today. Even if you aren't a fan, I recommend reading up on it if you have any interest in cinematic history or prop building. Really cool stuff.
As a side note, I will be displaying my art and selling prints at Cheyenne Comic Con 2017 in Cheyenne Wyoming this upcoming May. For those of you who live in the area, and need something to tide you over until Denver Comic Con, I'd love to see some of you at the table. Something like 12,000 people showed up last year so it should be a lot of fun.
And as always, I'm still on the lookout for commission work. If you have something that you would like to get painted, feel free to reach out here on DA or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org. I also have a portfolio website at jacobtwitchell.myportfolio.com, and I can be reached through there as well.
Edit: After I put these up, I checked them again the next day and realized that they were all really dark. So to help with that, I've calibrated my monitors to make that more obvious, and also went through and edited this one for better web viewing clarity. I'll be getting to each of them as I can.
